Lock Step: An Ode to Us

"Lock Step: An Ode to Us" is a documentary short film written and directed by Anya Dillard. Comprised of archival footage from her time as a student at West Orange High School, Lock Step is a film that strives to commemorate the diversity, talent, and cultural impact of cultural arts organizations -- particularly the Ab-Salute Step Team, Nu Theta Omega Girls Step Team, and Jubilee Choir of West Orange High School. Despite wrapping principal photography nearly 3 years ago -- Anya was determined to re-release this piece now in light of the massive impact that anti-DEI legislation is having on D9 organizations, culturally specific student organizations, affirmative action, and the dissemination of culturally diverse histories.
